Rebate program is out of funding.  The following into is outdated.

The Washington Department of Ecology is offering the “Charge Where You Are Level 2” program to promote the installation of Level 2 EV chargers throughout the state. The program provides prescriptive rebates for public, non-public, and tribal government or rural locations. The next round of funding, totaling $2 million, will open on July 9, 2024, and close on August 29, 2024. Applicants can receive funding for 4-10 Level 2 plugs, each capable of charging at least 9kW per vehicle simultaneously.

Level 2 Chargers – Non-Public
  • Rebate Type: Prescriptive
  • Grant is for 4-10 Level 2 plugs, all of which can charge at least 9kW per vehicle simultaneously
  • Rebate Details: Lesser of $10,000 per Port OR 60% of Project Cost
Level 2 Chargers – Tribal Gov’t, Rural, or approved census tract
  • Rebate Type: Prescriptive
  • Grant is for 4-10 Level 2 plugs, all of which can charge at least 9kW per vehicle simultaneously
  • Applicant must be tribal government or government entity location in one of the following: a census tract scoring a “9” or “10” for median income on the Washington Tracking Network’s Social Vulnerability Index; or a zip code assigned a “7”, “8”, “9”, or “10” Rural-Urban Community Area (RUCA)
  • Rebate Details: Lesser of $10,000 per Port OR 100% of Project Cost
