Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU) offers the TPU Community EV Charging program to support the installation of Level 2 EV charging infrastructure in multifamily buildings and commercial properties with owned parking areas. The program provides prescriptive rebates for both networked and non-networked chargers, with higher incentives available for priority projects located in low or very low zones on the Pierce County Equity Index Map. In addition to the rebates, projects are also eligible for utility infrastructure upgrade funding on the utility side of the meter.
