DC NEVI Program by District DOT
Program Overview:
- This is a rebate program funded by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula program established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
- It aims to build out a network of reliable public EV charging stations along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors in the District.
- The rebates will cover up to 80% of project costs for eligible DC-based charging infrastructure projects.
Important Dates:
- Request for Applications (RFA) will be released on March 29, 2024
- Application period opens March 29 and closes May 24, 2024
- A public webinar explaining the program will be held on January 25, 2024 prior to the RFA release
Eligible Locations:
- Priority will be given to projects installing charging stations along the following Alternative Fuel Corridors:
- I-395 and I-695 between DC-VA border and New York Ave
- I-295
- Rhode Island Ave (US-1/US-29) between Connecticut Ave NW and DC-MD border
- Pennsylvania Ave SE between Independence Ave and DC-MD border
- Chargers must be located within 1 travel mile of these designated corridors
- Stations must be no more than 50 miles apart along the corridors
Requirements:
- Charging ports must be compatible with all current EV models sold in the U.S.
- Projects must make data available on the public EV charging locations/networks
- Buy America standards for domestic sourcing must be followed
