EV Charging Equipment Incentive Program from Avista – WA

Avista, a utility company in Washington, has launched the Avista WA EV Charging Equipment Incentive Program to support the adoption of electric vehicles in its service area. The program offers two distinct options for businesses: the Turnkey Program for small businesses and the Make-Ready Program for larger businesses. Applicants can qualify for either program, but not both. Pre-approval is required to participate in the program.

Trade Ally Requirements A trade ally is required to get the rebate.
Level 2 Chargers – Make-Ready Costs (for large customers)
  • Rebate Type: Turnkey
  • Must use Avista’s qualified electricians
  • New construction code required EVSE not eligible
  • Customer is responsible for the remainder of the installation costs, non-dedicated equipment, and purchasing, owning, and maintaining the charging equipment.
  • Rebate Details: Lesser of $5,000 per Port OR 100% of Make-ready Cost
Level 2 Chargers (for small businesses)
  • Rebate Type: Turnkey
  • Avista will provide the charger and cover the necessary premise wiring costs up to $5,000 per port
  • Avista will own and maintain the chargers
  • Must use Avista’s qualified electricians
  • New construction code required EVSE not eligible
  • Eligible sites must have 50 or less employees/tenants/parking spaces.
