WA NEVI Program by Washington State Dept. of Transportation

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is set to launch the WA NEVI Program as part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) initiative. The program aims to expand the network of publicly accessible EV charging stations along designated EV corridors in the state.

While the exact rules for the program are yet to be announced, it will adhere to the general NEVI requirements, such as proximity to EV corridors, compatibility with all EVs sold in the U.S., and compliance with Buy America standards. Washington has also indicated that they may require the installation of NACS connectors in addition to the federally mandated CCS1 connector.
